Stefan and Andrea, founders and directors of Latin Dance Hawaii, met in New York City on the social dance floor through their mutual love for salsa.
Having grown up in New York, Stefan trained, danced, and performed with well known schools and instructors in New York, including Freddie Ruiz, Santo Rico, and Baila Society. Since moving to Hawaii over a decade ago, Stefan has become a renowned dancer, director, choreographer, and beloved member of the Hawaii dance community.
Andrea grew up on the East Coast and started dancing in New York during college, quickly growing to love music and the salsa community. She has trained and danced with schools including Baila Society, Karisma Dance Company, and Zafire Dance Company, performing both nationally and internationally. Since moving to Hawaii a few years ago, she has enjoyed bringing her love for the music and joy for the dance to the community and dancers here.
